Super Transparent Timeline Update
Hello Songbird Family,
It’s been an incredible journey so far, and we’re very excited about the progress we’ve made towards bringing The Ultimate Hamper to market. We strongly believe in how this product can positively impact households across America, and we remain committed to our mission of making the everyday beautiful.
We originally estimated that our product would be deliverable by September 2024. Currently, it appears we need to adjust our shipping goals. As a startup, this is our first time developing and manufacturing a product. While we did extensive research and consulted multiple partners, what we thought was an achievable goal (start shipping in September) turned out to be a very optimistic timeline.
Unfortunately, one of our vendors went out of business. So, we had to engage a new engineering firm to finish the design for manufacturing. This company ended up being a better partner overall. Now that we’ve finalized our design for manufacturing, we have a bill of materials (BOM) and actual specifications for production. The next big step is to begin the process of creating the tooling (molds) for our product. After reviewing the quotes, it’s clear we need to raise more capital than we previously expected. As such, we are actively pursuing avenues towards procuring the necessary funds while increasing pre-orders online.
Due to the amount of capital needed, in addition to the time it takes to develop tooling, it is not likely we will be able to deliver by the end of this year (2024). At this point, it is extremely difficult to provide an accurate estimate of when we will be able to ship. However, we are holding ourselves to a tentative goal of shipping by the end of the second quarter of 2025. This estimate is not a guarantee, and we will continue to provide updates as we move forward. We sincerely apologize for this delay. We are eternally grateful for your support and patience. It means so much to us and we can’t wait to get the Ultimate Hamper into your hands.
Yours Truly,
Tina
